Gel Fiber Optic Enclosure Structure
The Fiber Splice Enclosure is for use in all outside plant fiber splicing applications.
Utilizing compressed gel cable sealing and a quick release dome-to-base clamp for fast access to the splicing area.
There are a variety of sizes to choose from, each capable of handling a range of cable styles and sizes, and incorporating such features as hinging splice trays.
FOSC closures are accompanied by a full line of accessories as well.
The Fiber Splice Enclosure GL-Gel01 uses compressed-gel cable seals to environmentally seal each cable splice point. It is a single-ended, environmentally sealed enclosure for fiber management in outside plant networks. The maximum single splice capacity of the FOSC450 B6 enclosure is 144 splices, stored on six trays. The maximum mass fusion splice capacity is 288 splices, requiring only four trays.
The single gel seal slides easily into the enclosure's base for rapid, secure installation. Gel-seal cable terminations automatically adapt to cable size and shape and require no special tools or accessories for installation. Cables are easy to remove, and the gel seal is completely reusable.

• Base and dome sealed with a clamp and O-ring system
• 6 round cable ports provided in a wrap-around block with pre-installed gel profile for cable sealing. This block can be opened and closed repeatedly without removing or replacing the gel. With the use of special kits, multiple cables per port can be installed
• FOSC splice trays hinged for access to any splice without disturbing fibers in other trays
• Compatible with most common cable types: e.g. loose tube, central core, slotted core, ribbon fiber
• Uncut or expressed loose tubes can be stored in storage baskets
• Fiber Splice Enclosure can be used in aerial, pedestal and underground environments
