A Network Interface Device (NID) fiber optic box is the demarcation point, typically a secure, weather-protected enclosure mounted outside a building, where an Internet Service Provider's (ISP) external fiber optic cable terminates and connects to the customer's internal wiring or equipment; it houses critical components including the fiber termination point, optical splices or connectors, and often the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) or Optical Network Unit (ONU) which converts the optical signal into electrical signals for the customer's devices, clearly separating the ISP's network responsibility from the customer's and providing test access for troubleshooting.
Our NID Fiber Enclosure offer internal fiber management and are suitable for both direct termination and fusion/mechanical splicing.

• High-quality PC+ABS material withstands harsh conditions, including vibration, shock, tension cable distortion, and severe temperature changes.
• Strong, rational structure with mechanical sealing design: the NID enclosure can be opened after sealing and can be reused.
• Holds one simplex SC, one duplex LC, or one MTP adapter (splicing capacity: up to 2 single fibers or 1 mass fusion).
• Slack storage for up to 50 feet of fiber.
• 1-inch conduit entry points with tie-downs.
• Applicable fiber optic cable O.D.: Round cable: 3mm to 16.2mm; Flat cable: 2mm to 4.5×8.1mm.
