The ​​Fiber to the Home (FTTH)​​ distribution chassis is a key component of the FTTH network, serving as a ​​secure interface​​ for fiber splicing and routing between the backbone infrastructure and end-user connections. Designed for deployment in diverse environments-from residential buildings to industrial sites-it facilitates high-speed broadband access by integrating ​​primary optical fiber lines​​ with ​​user-dedicated fibers​​.

 

​​The GL-ODB-16S fiber optic distribution box​​ is a 16-core FTTH enclosure adopting ​​FastConnect technology​​ to streamline network deployment. This device enables ​​fiber splicing termination and splitting​​ between distribution cables and drop cables while ensuring fiber protection. It features ​​input ports for backbone cables​​ and supports up to 16 FastConnect drop cables. Compatible with ​​loose-tube, skeleton, and other fiber types​​, the unit is suitable for installation in ​​overhead, wall-mounted, pipeline, manhole, or underground settings​​, accommodating ​​distribution, bridging, branching, and other connection methods​​.

 

 

Features.

 

This FTTH Distribution Enclosure adopts a ​​flip-top sealing structure​​, achieving dual protection through ​​mechanical buckles​​ and ​​vulcanized silicone rubber gaskets​​. Complying with ​​IEC 60529​​ standards, it features ​​IP65-rated protection​​ and a ​​mechanical sealing design​​, supporting ​​over 5,000 cycles​​ of repeated opening and closing operations. With ​​IK10-rated impact resistance​​, the ​​optimized internal layout​​ includes ​​dedicated optical fiber connector mounts​​ and ​​residual fiber storage compartments​​ (ensuring minimum bending radius ≥30mm), effectively isolating environmental contaminants like dust and moisture. The ​​gel-sealed cable port​​ accommodates ​​uncut fiber cables​​ with diameters ranging from ​​8–17.5mm​​, enabling ​​up to 16 user connections​​ for ​​complex deployment scenarios​​ such as outdoor ​​junction boxes​​ and ​​FTTH terminal systems​​.

Structure.

 

 

This type of closure is a multifunctional fiber splice equipment which is designed to seal without screws. The compact size and flip-over cover bring easy operation as well as complete function.

The splice trays are jointed with a hinge at one side, which makes the operation in each tray easier. It is designed to prevent from operation damage.

Packing, transportation and storage

 

This equipment packaging is moisture-proof and earthquake-proof. The accessories are packed first plastic bags, then into the boxes with plastic bags for sealing. There are moisture-proof and earthquake direction signs outside the boxes.

It can't be inverted in the transport and be free from rolling when carrying. Please load carefully and prevent the collision. You should prevent it from heavy rain before installation. The temperature in the transport should be controlled between-35℃ to +55℃.

The excessive accumulation of goods should be stored on the cartons. The treasury should away from the erosion of corrosive gas equipment and the temperature should be below 45℃ and higher than -5℃, and relative temperature should not be high in long-term(generally less than 75%).
