Designed for seamless integration with 5G deployments, Multiport terminal simplifies fiber backhaul management for small and macro cells by consolidating multiple optical connections (e.g., 8–24 ports) into a compact, weatherproof enclosure. Reducing cable clutter and ensuring low-loss signal distribution (≤ 0.3 dB insertion loss) are critical for maintaining ultra-low latency in applications such as autonomous vehicles and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
In Cloud-RAN (C-RAN) architectures, MST multiport terminal streamlines fronthaul and midhaul connectivity between centralized baseband units (BBUs) and remote radio units (RRUs) through plug-and-play modularity, enabling rapid network reconfiguration.
