Outdoor Optical Cable
Outdoor fiber optic cable, as the name suggests, is a type of fiber optic cable designed for outdoor use and suitable for outdoor applications. These cables are durable and can withstand wind, sunlight, cold, and freezing temperatures. They typically include a thick outer sheath, armoring elements, and strength members. As a result, outdoor fiber optic cables possess mechanical and environmental resistance properties such as crush resistance, corrosion resistance, and tensile strength.
Outdoor Optical Cable, 2~144 fibers, central strength member (steel), jelly-filled, fiber-contained loose tube with PP filler (if necessary) stranded, water-blocking tape, PE inner sheath, longitudinally covered with copolymer-coated steel tape, PE outer sheath. It is available in two types: single-mode cable and multimode cable.
The cable features a stranded loose-tube structure with steel-tape double sheaths. The loose-tube stranding technology provides the fibers with good secondary excess length and allows them to move freely within the tube, ensuring the fibers remain stress-free when the cable is subjected to longitudinal stress. The steel-tape armor and double PE sheath offer excellent crush resistance and rodent resistance. The metal strength member delivers superior strain performance.
