Description

The GL-OTB-8-B Fiber Optic Termination is designed for indoor plant MDU (multi-dwelling unit) buildings in FTTH networks.

It provides optimized fiber management for riser cable and 8-fiber distribution in P2P networks or 8-fiber splitting in P2MP PON networks, serving up to 8 subscribers.

This unit integrates fiber cable fixation, storage, uncut operation, splicing, distribution, and splitting into a single indoor wall-mounting enclosure.

To preserve signal integrity, the unit maintains a fiber bending radius exceeding 40mm. Compatibility with both fusion and mechanical splicing techniques offers adaptability to different operational requirements. Furthermore, an optional 1x8 PLC splitter can be installed to extend functionality, providing efficient signal splitting for expanded network applications.

The GL-OTB-8-B fiber optic terminal box has dimensions of 190mm (L) × 130mm (W) × 50mm (H) with a tolerance of ±3mm and a weight of 0.25kg. Fabricated from high-strength ABS or PC/ABC materials, the enclosure incorporates a mechanical seal rated at IP40 for ingress protection and IK07 for impact resistance.

This model supports mid-span cables with diameters up to Φ10mm and offers a splicing capacity of 24 fibers, organized into two trays each holding 12 fibers. It is equipped with 8 SC adaptors as standard and provides optional integration of either two 1:4 splitters or a single 1:8 PLC splitter.

Designed for indoor wall mounting, the compact terminal box delivers comprehensive fiber management functionalities-including fixation, storage, splicing, distribution, and splitting-within a single integrated unit.
