The GJFJV Fiber Optical Cable employs a 900 μm tight-buffered optical fiber as its primary transmission medium.

 

This optical fiber is mechanically reinforced with a concentric layer of aramid yarn serving as structural reinforcement, followed by extrusion coating with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) polymer sheathing to form the external protective layer.
