Indoor Cable
Model: Yellow-Jacketed 12-Core Indoor-Distribution Fiber Optic Cable, 0.9mm Diameter
- Product Introduction
Yellow-Jacketed 12-Core Indoor Fiber Optic Cable
This indoor cable can be used for LAN and WAN backbones, telecom access lines, fiber to business and fiber to the building or the homme connections. It is equally suited for installation in ducts and on trays. This cable features a high tensile strength and a degree of rodent protection effective in many cases. OM3 and higher Fiber Optic Cable are typically deployed in data center, LAN, and storage area network.
Optical indoor fiber cables offer a higher bandwidth than copper (10 to 12 copper cable for 1 optical fiber cable), and cover a higher distance for the same bandwidth than copper (for a 10 Gigabits bandwidth 90m for copper cable vs 300m for an OM3 optical fiber cable). Also, since optical fiber carries light instead of electricity (as in copper cable) it insensible to lighting strikes or electrical faults. It does not corrode or rust. as a result, fiber reduces maintenance cost and has a proven record of reliability in the field.

Features of Indoor Fiber Cable:
• Fire Safety: MUST use fire-rated jackets: Plenum for air spaces, Riser between floors. Materials resist flames & low smoke/toxins.
• Construction: Tight-buffered fiber design: Thick coating protects each fiber. Allows direct connector attachment & easy handling indoors.
• Flexibility: Highly flexible & lightweight jackets (PVC or LSZH) for easy pulling & bending around corners or through ducts/conduits/trays.
• Bend Tolerance: Uses Bend-Insensitive Fiber (BIF), allowing very tight bends (5-7.5mm) without signal loss around obstacles & panels.
• Strength: Relies on central FRP/Kevlar strength rods & surrounding Kevlar yarn. Strong for pulling, but no heavy outdoor armor.
• Environment: Durable vs indoor handling/crush, but not for outdoor use. No water/gel blocking, susceptible to moisture, sunlight, & extremes.
Applications:
• Adopted to indoor distribution.
• As pigtail of communication equipment.
• Suitable for communication equipment served.
• Can be installed conveniently and simply.
