This FPV Fiber Optical Spool is perfect for applications requiring long-distance, real-time video or data feeds, such as inspection, surveying, and high-altitude photography.
This lightweight, UAV-compatible Optic Fibre Canister carries up to 50km of micro-diameter fiber optic cable (0.3mm). Integrated with industrial drones, it enables rapid aerial cable laying without ground crews or heavy machinery.
Current FPV Drone Fiber Module commonly utilize ABS and carbon fiber materials to minimize their impact on drone payload weight.
The future focus involves adopting nanomaterials and self-healing technologies to further reduce physical weight while enabling automatic reconnection within 30 seconds of fiber breakage, thereby increasing operational success rates.
Fiber Optic Spool / Canister Winding Structures:
Inside-Wound also called Inner Pay-off Type, fiber starts at the core of the spool and winds outward layer-by-layer.
